“I have been impressed with the amount of progress and improvement my two sons have had in their pitching abilities after taking lessons from Dan Gazaway. Dan has a talent in teaching correct pitching mechanics and techniques needed in playing the game of baseball. I am convinced that his ability to teach in a positive manner has resulted in the success of both of my sons. I recommend to anyone the investment of having Dan instruct pitchers at any age in improving their skills.”
Video Testimonial “I am happy to say that Blake just received a full ride scholarship to pitch for BYU.”

“We started with a few pitchers in the 9 year old age group who threw fast but their arms began to hurt after throwing only an inning or two. One player threw three innings and was crying in pain after finishing. After Dan Gazaway sharpened their pitching mechanics…
rid them of their unnecessary pitching motions, each pitchers speed increased 10 miles per hour. They had much greater ball control and most importantly they were able to throw more overall pitches
without pain.
Dan has a great way with the kids and makes learning correct mechanics fun and entertaining. He answers their questions on their level. I would strongly recommend Dan and The Pitching Academy to everyone who wants their pitchers to be successful.”

The results were instantaneous and my son was hitting the target more consistently and his velocity increased about 4 mph…
My name is Ron Kass and I recently found Dan Gazaway’s website on the Rocky Mountain Baseball site and decided to give Dan a try. I have a 14 year old son who was having some control problems, and as usual, confidence with his pitching. I was immediately impressed with Dan’s simple approach to making minor adjustments in his delivery based on balance and body pitching mechanics…My son is also able to pitch an extra inning or two without the usual arm fatigue. Most of all, Dan is enthusiastic and bestows the necessary work ethic youth need to exceed in pitching. Thanks Dan for your help and cheerful nature.

Dan’s ability to spot improper mechanics and teach balance and correct pitching mechanics in a reasonably simplified manner is outstanding. I would highly recommend Dan Gazaway to anyone serious about improving overall pitching ability…
I first met Dan Gazaway when I asked a knowledgeable baseball coach and friend, who I could get to help my 12 year old son with his pitching. Though my sons’ mechanics were at the time, quite good, I felt it important to find a coach that could maximize every motion of his mechanics to gain maximum velocity and to insure minimum arm stress. Since that first lesson, Dan has worked several times with my son. Recently, as a 14 year old, my son attended a baseball camp at Southern Nevada College with baseball coach Tim Chambers. Coach Chambers and his Southern Nevada Coyotes won the Junior College Baseball World Series in 2003. The pitching coaches at this camp, highly commended my son for his proper pitching mechanics and his potential to be a very effective pitcher with a very bright future. Today, Dan is giving pitching instruction to all of the players on our 14 year old baseball team.
Nate Barnett (Washington)
“I recently took a trip from Seattle down to Utah to provide some hitting instruction with some hitters in Salt Lake City. I had the opportunity to connect with Dan Gazaway and watch him work with his pitchers. I was very impressed at the way Dan connected with his players taking complex mechanics and relayed pitching information in a way that athletes of all ages can understand and apply immediately. I could see immediate improvement with many of his athletes.
While there are countless former athletes providing baseball instruction, very few have the ability to communicate training information effectively with each player. Dan Gazaway has that ability.
Dan works in an organized manner with the clear focus of player understanding in mind. He won’t rush players ahead but he’ll shift and change mechanics until an athlete understands the correct approach. I even tagged along on a few pitching lessons and Dan taught me a splitter! Only if I had learned that back when I pitched in college.”

After the first lesson, I could see a visible improvement in Mitchs velocity while still maintaining his control. Dan has done an exceptional job with all the pitchers on the team. He has the ability quickly analyze and determine what specific area of pitching each pitcher can focus on to improve. He has the ability to do this in a positive manner with each pitcher…
I first met Dan watching kids pitch at a local ball park. My son Mitch, who was 13 at the time was pitching, Dan seemed very interested in how my son pitched. Dan indicated he had pitched at multiple levels and had received a pitching certification from the world renowned Tom House School of Pitching. Being familiar with a couple of books Tom House had written, I started to ask him some questions in how Mitch could improve. Dan indicated Mitch had good pitching mechanics but at times opened up a little at front foot landing. I took one of Dans pitching academy Business cards, with the thought that I would contact him just before the next season, as I was very impressed in his knowledge and his personal demeanor with parents and kids. This year, the team Mitch is playing for brought in a highly recommended pitching instructor to work with all the pitchers. To my surprise the instructor was Dan. I was very pleased to have Dan work with my son on his mechanics and on the pitchers attitude.

“Dan is a wonderful teacher and is very talented at presenting the proper pitching mechanics in a way that even the youngest of kids can understand and implement. Dan takes his time and is very giving of the knowledge and natural ability he has perfected… Dan is very patient and is always concerned with how the student comprehends what is being taught…Dan gets excited and is full of energy and is looking to point out the positive when pitching mechanics are done right and is willing to take the time to overcome setbacks.”
Andrew Wilding (U of U Pitcher)
“After being away from baseball for two years my pitching mechanics needed a lot of work. I was trying to get back into playing shape so that I could play college baseball…As I continued to work with Dan I noticed that I could throw harder with less effort and better control. My curveball broke sharper and harder than before…
I started working with Dan and I noticed big improvements in my throwing motion. I like how he started with the most basic and smallest details. It made it easy to work on things he taught in between pitching lessons…Dan has a pitching philosophy that incorporates adjustments but allows you to keep your natural throwing motion. I keep working with Dan during the off season to make sure that I continue to improve and stay mechanically sound. I would recommend him to anybody that wants to improve on the mound.”
John Melonas (Orem, UT)
Dan’s approach and emphasis on correct pitching mechanics based on his own experience and research makes him my choice to instruct my son…
As a parent, my main concern for my son’s pitching is the protection of his young arm. Over the years I’ve seen many young athletes injured, only to have very short pitching years instead of concentrating on long term potential. Thank you, Dan!
Jay Gassman (Pleasant Grove, UT)
Having Dan work with my sons on their pitching has been the best thing I could have done for them. Dan’s knowledge of pitching is vast and his teaching methods are effective
My 12 year old son Spencer has become an incredible pitcher even though he is the smallest kid on the team. Not only has Dan taught the proper pitching mechanics, but he has taught him how to pitch off speed and keep batters off balance…The drills he has taught are both developmental and fun. I would recommend Dan whole heartedly.
